Back in the 1960s M. W. Bro Dwight Smith (Indiana) was screaming about the errors in the operation of the Craft. At that time our numbers were very high and decline was not given any real consideration except by Dwight Smith and a few others. His booklets Wither are we travelling and Why the confusion in the Temple were published and widely distributed by the Masonic Service Association buy to little avail. By 1989 things were very different as the attached article from the Empire State Mason magazine illustrates. In that article M. W. Bro. Raymond C Ellis, the then Dean of their Past Grand Masters issues a warning that we are in decline and doing nothing real to address it. He urges action.

This article was written before all of the additional problems of society and the astounding developments in technology that we have today and just look how far down we have gone since then. He opens by saying “it would seem imperative that the Masonic Fraternity get off the mourners’ bench, stop whistling in the dark, and face reality”.

My interpretation of this quote addresses only the last few words above. Getting off the mourners’ bench would be to unload that prevailing attitude that we are going to seriously decline Stop bleating that small is o.k. and we can not return to what we were in the glory days.

Big changes can not happen with a negative attitude prevailing.

Whistling in the dark is making nice self satisfying sounds to comfort ourselves so we do not feel forced to face the light and the urgent and innovative work that must be done. We feel fear in the dark and try to comfort ourselves and there any real action stops. Facing the reality does not mean simply accepting the sad state and the inevitable further decline of the Craft, nor does it mean coming up with more finely presented well constructed words and reports that go nowhere. It means devising and implementing with great urgency inspired tactics at the Lodge and Region level that can address the Lodge issues that we know, live with and need no further research. To quote our ritual “to perform our allotted task while it is yet day”.

Fluid Mechanics Ambiguous – May 9th, 2019

Abstract

Basic Fluid Mechanics’ Navier-Stockes equations are approximate; solutions simplified; input data uncertain; mathematical and real instabilities always present. Blood vessels (veins and arteries) are a hydraulic system. Low power pulsations can destroy the structure with resonance and instability! Yet, only mature verified and now applied, storing 99% of electricity is hydro storage, waiting new technologies to develop verify and mature. Therefore, hydro plants safety must follow modern clean variable sources. Clean, intermittent, unmanageable, uncertain sources must be backed up by storage able to accumulate surplus, and return energy when consumers demand it. Hydro storage is of dominant significance as the most reliable and affordable clean storage of surplus of wind, solar, nuclear, thermal, and run-of-river energies. Hydroelectric plants and hydraulic auxiliary systems, present in all plants, continually experience dynamic transients and oscillations which threaten from extreme water hammer pressures and resonant oscillations. However, as there are no simple hydraulic solutions for such complex systems, this article emphasizes that the analyses of hydraulic schemes are always difficult.

Why Memorize the Ritual – March 24, 2019

There are three main reasons to memorize ritual. I am sure that you can find others as well. The First Reason is that it gives you a deeper understanding of the symbolic and allegoric messages that contribute to making a good man better. The Second Reason is that it develops discipline and increases your intelligence. It establishes daily habits and stimulates your mind. There are many posts accessible on Google that explain the benefits of memorization for young and old.

The Third Reason is that IT IS NOT ABOUT YOU! Beyond being a way to pass on Masonic knowledge, a well memorized and delivered ritual enhances the experience and message not only for you but for the recipient as well as the observers!

When an initiate becomes a Mason, he is usually overwhelmed by the experience. It is impactful and inspiring yet, often, a blur. Shortly after his initiation is the time for the new Brother to be introduced, by his sponsors or mentor, to the process of making “ a daily advancement” in Masonic knowledge, by memorizing key parts of his ceremony. The obligation leads the list yet the working tools, the apron charge, or the address before the obligation are pieces that can be worked on in his first year. This can expand over time to include the similar parts in all degrees. As a Mason ages, he will find it easier to recall work he memorized early in his career.

So, what do I recommend for process and timing? First, if you have a method that works for you stay with it and move on. If not, or if you are curious, follow on. As my father, Brother Gerald Dresser, frequently said, it takes longer to tell it than to do it!!

Genious of Einstein and Tesla killing the planet – March 14th, 2019

Scenario of our planet’s disaster

The Star War button pressed intentionally or by accident; Tesla’s electromagnetic waves kill people or act on their brains. Other countries (USA, Russia, Germany…) to protect themselves activate their systems similar to HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program) and HAARP itself. Thousands of gigawatts (1000s billion watts) launched into ionosphere at the speed of light (300,000 km/s). to burn enemy satellites and spacecrafts. Electricity grids blackouts. All electric plants emergency closed. Nuclear plants water cooling system protection from catastrophe do not protect or not properly designed. Nuclear chain reaction transfer masses into energy (Einstein’s theory). Nobody survive or may be just few! For how long they can survive if ionosphere ruined and sun burns our planet. What happens to water?

Remote control of Smart Meters can in few second disconnect selected consumers and transfer gigawatts of energy to Star War systems like HAARP to heat ionosphere at the speed of light. If we are lucky from the ionosphere thousands of Gigawatts not to reflect, it could happen that our planet survives. For this case, the electrical system must be safe. These transients must be safe!

We must protect our home planet this never to happen! Can we do this?

Leadership and the Survival of Freemasonry – March 18, 1994

Will Freemasonry survive well into the twentieth century? I believe it will, as long as, as Peale said, “there are God fearing and moral men;” — and there are leaders. Leaders who challenge, who inspire, who enable, who model, who encourage. And so I say to you my Brethren in closing, what are you? Are you a follower, or are you leaving a trail? Do you challenge, do you inspire, do you enable, do you model, do you encourage. Do you cause others to want to do for Freemasonry what you think is necessary to be done. Can you provide that leadership of loyalty, of energy, a positive attitude, being dynamic, enthusiastic, risk-taking, strategist, honest, inspirational, and prestigious. Can you provide that kind of leadership; so that our Freemasonry will continue to be the most dynamic, the most powerful, the most prestigious and the greatest organization in the world.
